A & I in the wilderness of Massachusetts - trying to avoid bears. It was right about here that I tried to explain to A that if a bear attacked she should play dead... I don't think she understood.

When avoiding bears, aren't you supposed to bang sticks together?
I'm not sure, we decided to make lots of noise so it didn't think we were sneaking up on it. So we talked loud and prayed that we wouldn't encounter a bear - we didn't want to have to explain why we took a picture of its poo. :)
But I have heard that if a bear attacks you should play dead.
