My children (all four of them it appears) LOVE Schlitterbahn - I've referred to this place before...
2008 Schlitterbahn trip.

Here is the scoop - with the help of my friend, lovingly referred to by my children as Youngie - I embarked on the most fantastic water park in the world with ALL four of my beautiful children. We had a wonderful time and have the sun burns to prove it. In addition to Youngie we were able to take this trip because of a friend Christy who blessed us with 1/2 price tickets. Thank you to both of these generous friends!

Swimming

We've spent so much time at the pool this year that I wanted to share some of our fun with you. I don't usually have my phone/camera close by because I am always on guard with Z&A learning to swim and both having very little fear at this time. However today I had a friend with me and B&K were on guard like miniature St. Bernard's, ready to lend a hand to a sibling in need. It was wonderful to watch and I'm so proud of all of my kids, those learning to swim and those being vigilant in safeguarding!

Cameron Park Zoo

Today Jason & I took our under 7 crew to Waco, TX to visit the Cameron Park Zoo - I visited this zoo a few years ago with my friend Beth from College Station and her two kids (Alex & Kate). B&K enjoyed it - Z was a little runt so he didn't enjoy it to the fullest extent. Here's our pics!

We are here - it is hot but this park/zoo has a lot of shade.

Busy summer

Today my big kids leave again - this time for a very different experience. They will be going to San Antonio with our church youth group and serving the homeless. This should be a very eye opening experience for them - sometimes they don't realize how much they have.

This gives us another weekend with just the littlest division of the family and I'm trying to convince my other half that we should drive to a zoo about 2 hours away. I've been looking it up and they have some fun "splash" parks in the area too - extra clothes, a couple of towels and a tank of gas... sounds like a winner to me! We'll see if my sweet spouse agrees - if so you will see pictures later.

B&K come home on Tuesday evening - after stopping off at Schlitterbahn!
