Flashback

Trying to find pictures of Jason & I for the parental units section I came across these pictures! I can't believe I'm getting ready to say this - I miss going skiing (even with broken legs, torn ACL's and sore ankles - in other words Jason)! I'm not suggesting that I was good but I did have a good time when we went!

Jason with K

Me (pre-Z) woo hoo!

B - pre-Wolfcreek where he got really FAST!

J trying out snowboarding - he needs to stick to hot tubbing! hee hee
(any comment Jason?!)

A title would be nice...

A is changing and growing every day. Teeny Theny (as she's known around here) can stand on her own, wave, clap, snort and even says yea sometimes. As you will see she still has some work before she masters these new found skills.

Even I'm still learning. Today I learned that the center between the sinks is lower than the outside of the sink so that if you accidentally do something non-green and silly, like leave the water on, the water won't spill over the edge of the sink! However the bubbles will go very high! Oops!

Little J

Erin & I chatted today on the phone - as we do a lot. I really enjoy these conversations, although they usually make me sad that we don't live closer to each other... today as we discussed what our babies were doing I was just so glad that I have her in my life and that not only do we have the chance to have these conversations, we also really enjoy each others company (even if we are almost 2000's of miles away). Here is what Erin's little guy, J was doing while we talked today (trying on a new, way cool, hat).

LOVE IT!

P.S. Erin - I hope you don't mind me sharing this picture... he's just so "stinkin' cute!"
Oh yea - on a side note, I love how Z knows exactly who this little guy is every time I open up a picture of him.

Never a dull moment

Our family has now survived two "flus" this season! There have been some times when I thought that I might resign this position, Mommy is a great career choice if you can get it, but Mommy to barfy kids is the fine print of that contract! Thankfully we are all feeling better and hopefully will be back to our normal routine tomorrow.

I have some funny stories to share:
Z gave Jason a book to read the other night with this introduction, "this is a good one for you Daddy." The title of the book, I Love to Eat.

Last night Z gave the same book to Jason (it is essentially a picture book with all types of food in it) and this time when they got to the lollipop page Z said, "lollipops, we eat them all day and all night." Huh?!

Finally, today I smelled something and Z was the only one in the vicinity so I said, "Z I smell a smell." To which he responded, "it's A." She was napping! So I tried to have a conversation about lying and what that is, but apparently I didn't pronunciate well when I said, " A lie is a...." and Z thought I said, "Elias is coming over today." Ugh!!

Now here is a little montage that I was working on, I took a lot of pictures this week. We planted our acorns, lots of fun. You'll see...

Yes... Jason did cut a cable wire! Not during this shot but when he was putting fertilizer stakes around the BIG tree. Ugh - $60!

Funny

This morning Z woke up late, 6:30am, and crept into our bedroom. He laid with us for a while but then wanted to watch TV so I sent him to the living room to watch TV with instructions to be quiet so Mommy & Daddy could sleep a little longer (really that is just laying there listening but he doesn't need to know that). K came out and he told her in a voice that carried down the hall very well, "I am supposed to talk soft but I want pancakes." ha ha ha!
He is now eating his pancakes!

15 years ago today

.... my sweet husband, Jason, asked me to do him the honor of being his wife. I knew before he asked that my answer would be a resounding YES! On this day 15 years ago I agreed to marry my best friend, the good angel on my shoulder and my favorite confidant. So thank you Jason for making me laugh, hugging me whenever I need it and your unwavering love!

Happy V Day

So I'm a little early but there is a funny (and sort of sad) story to go with my v-day wishes to you! I bought each of the "big" kids a little heart with some chocolate for Valentine's Day several weeks ago - I was so proud of myself, getting an early start. Well tonight we decided to give the kids their candy before the on-slot of candy from the big V-day parties tomorrow. So I brought the hearts out and gave one to each child, only to come to the screetching realization that K just got spacers put in today and she is not allowed to have anything chewy, gooey or sticky *um candy*! I felt TERRIBLE!
So I'm terribly sorry sweet K - I love you and hope that you have a really great V-day with a glass of water and perhaps a bowl of pudding! :)

The boys were happy with their gifts!

K - not so happy!

There's her sweet smile, she was happy because I made four layer delight (yum!)

Finally....

B&K both made us V-day cards. K's was beautiful and very sweet & B's made me smile.
Here's what it said:

I'd give you an award winning novel from myself for Valentine's Day but....

I'm not a published author and I haven't made a novel so I give you this. Attached was a piece of paper that was decorated like a U.S. dollar bill that said, "In God we Trust to give eternal love"
WOW! Now that's a Valentine's Day Card!
