Who Knew?

This Valentine's Day was eye opening for me. I was so proud of myself for being "ready" for the festivities. That is until I got a note from Z's class and then a note from A's class. I suppose being home with them the last two years I forgot that this year they would be in the midst of it too. Wednesday night before Z's party I asked him to write his name on a couple of cards. When he realized what we were doing he insisted on telling me which cards went to boys and which ones went to girls AND he wrote his name on every single one - staying up late. It was very fun and sweet. Sadly I didn't get a picture of the cutest thing - when I wrote an "A" just like that he insisted that his "A" needed a point to so he went back and drew a little line on top of several of his "A's" so that they would have a point. Funny boy!
Here's a couple of pictures of my little Valentine.

My father-in-law (the brilliant John) said it well when he said, "you lost one and gained three more." Meaning B is now beyond the V-day festivities but now teaching elementary school I'm in them and Z&A are too. So when I was "ready" I had only considered K & myself. Silly me!
